Funeral Partners’ divisional performance director, Jamie Groves, is set to help a charity football event exceed £250k in total donations when it returns to Bromley on 23 May.
Groves established Goals 4 GOSH in 2021 alongside Charlotte Styles to support Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The event at Bromley Football Club has been sponsored by Funeral Partners and Choice for five years and serves as a major annual fundraiser.
Organisers confirmed that the initiative has raised more than £220k to date, with last year’s event alone contributing £50k to the hospital charity.
The 2026 programme includes youth and adult tournaments followed by a celebrity match featuring former Premier League players Wayne Routledge and Lianne Sanderson.
Groves, who lives in Brighton, launched the project following personal connections to the hospital where several of his family members and friends received care.
Funds from this year will support the ‘Build it. Beat it.’ appeal, which is financing the construction of a new Children’s Cancer Centre at the hospital.
Kelly Hailou, group marketing director at Funeral Partners and Choice, said: “We are incredibly proud to serve as the principal sponsor of this event in support of GOSH Charity.”
Groves said: “When I was told that one incubator costs around £30k it really hit home. I realised we still needed to do even more. What makes this so special is the people. It’s seeing GOSH families connect with each other, children getting the chance to play on a professional pitch.”
Gabi Field, deputy director of public fundraising at GOSH Charity, added: “We are incredibly grateful for the dedication Jamie and Charlotte have shown through Goals 4 GOSH.”
