A funeral service operative from the Co-operative Funeralcare inBewsey Road,Warrington, has been inaugurated to the role of Mayor of Whiston for the coming year (2013/2014).

 David Williams was first appointed to Whiston Town Council in 2009, and also held the position of Mayor in 2011/12.

He commented:  “In the coming year I am keen to build on the success we have had with fundraising initiatives, which have benefited 22 local community groups, and I hope colleagues, local people and businesses will be just as supportive as they have in the past.”
