Staff from a woodland burial ground near Poole, Dorset, have raised £1,253.70 to help local children.

Funeral director Dawn Jones and funeral arranger Rory Craig from Poole and Wimborne Woodland Burial Ground raised the funds during a week of activity in Poole’s shopping mall, the Dolphin Centre.

All money raised will be donated to the Children’s Community Nursing Team at Poole General Hospital.

Dawn commented: “Helen Parker from Poole General Hospital made contact after visiting our grounds and I went to visit the children’s ward with my manager Jonathan Rickman. It was an eye-opening experience and we were determined to do something to help them. Spending a week in the Dolphin Centre has helped us raise a fantastic amount of money and also raised awareness of the Children’s Community Nursing Team.”
