Sheffield-based funeral business, Michael Fogg Family Funeral Directors, has pledged to turn his business into an anonymous knife-drop off point, following another stabbing in the city.
Michael Fogg. who runs the business with his wife and family said that the drop off point will be open from today (9 March) with a ‘no questions asked’ policy.
Commenting on the stabbings Fogg said on Facebook: Ones again tragedy as take place in Sheffield. But to the community I grew up in and serve it on our doorstep. Tonight another life has been taken.Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
“So i have decided that from Monday i intend to have a drop of point at Michael Fogg funeral directors, 27 to 29 Woodhouse Road, Sheffield, S12 2AY. A box will be at our premises where people can post knives.No questions asked.”
The move comes following a 23-year-old man from Woodthorpe died after a stabbing on Friday evening (6 March), making it the second stabbing in Sheffield this year.
