LCK Funeral Support Services, formally known as McCafferty & Sons Repatriation Service, started trading in December 2017.
When it was still known as McCafferty & Sons, the company ran a road repatriation service collecting and helped to deliver loved ones from all over England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland for over five years.
Following an increase in demand to supply driver bearers, the decided to expand and rebrand as LCK Funeral Support Services.
Alan McCafferty the director of LCK, started as a young man in the funeral profession in 1978 with a family firm. He worked for J. H. Kenyon’s London which was the Royal funeral directors. There, everyone was trained to the highest level. He was trained in all aspects and work with Kenyon’s air transportation.
LCK Funeral Support Services provide collections and repatriations worldwide either by road or air and they also do local collections for funeral directors.
The company supplies driver bearers to local funeral directors, attends London embassies and consults for permits and can also import and export from any UK airport. As well as arranging custom clearance, flights and storage, the LCK can also hire hearses and limousines within the M25.
It has two vans which go across the UK every day; a black Vauxhall Vivaro with Wilcox decking and a one-man stretcher as well as a silver Mercedes Vito long wheel base which also has a one-man stretcher and can fit all size caskets and flight trays. All the company’s vans have tracking so the drivers can easily divert in an emergency. All vehicles are highly maintained and get serviced every six months.
