Independent funeral director A D Murfitt recently held an open day as part of its town’s Summer Fair.

The fifth instalment of Fenland market town Whittlesey’s annual Summer Fair saw A D Murfitt open its doors to the public for the third consecutive year.

As part of the open day A D Murfitt showcased a motorcycle hearse from Motorcycle Funerals and a horse drawn hearse from Tom Farmer at Townies Carriage Hire. New coffins, such as the new Artiste from Steve Soult and a woollen casket, were on display in the home.

Approximately 30 people took up an offer of a £100 voucher towards a funeral plan during the course of the day.
