The Family Business Awards have named CPJ Field & Co 2013’s ‘London & South East Family Business of the Year’.

Organised by think tank Family Business United the awards, which are held in London, aim to celebrate great British family firms and raise awareness of the contribution that they make.

CPJ Field & Co is a family-run business that traces its origins to the late 1600s, and was selected from over 200 nominations, 43 of which were shortlisted as finalists. Just five were selected as regional winners.

Founder and managing director of Family Business United, Paul Andrews, said: “CPJ Field & Co exemplifies what these awards are all about, with family involvement on a day-to-day basis, values that influence everything they do –all of which has enabled them to succeed for over 300 years and stands them in good stead to be around for generations to come.”
