Co-op donates to Canterbury community centre

A community centre in Canterbury has received a £200 cash boost from The Co-operative Funeralcare.Co-op donates to Canterbury community centre

 

The funeral home in Sturry Road, Canterbury, has given the funding to Northgate Ward Community Centre on Military Road.

A supporter of the community centre for several years, The Co-op has previously donated raffle prizes, selection boxes and easter eggs.

The money raised will be used to purchase much needed equipment for the Community Centre which is used a learning resource and meeting place for community groups.

Community Liaison office from the Co-op, Nuala O’Donoghue, said: “We have a great relationship with Northgate Ward which is a really important resource for our local community and I know that our efforts are appreciated. We will support them again this Easter with some eggs from our annual Easter Appeal and we’re already booked in for the Christmas Fayre.”
