Douch Family Funeral Directors appoints new staff for Ferndown Branch

Dorset-based funeral service firm Douch Family Funeral Directors has announced two key appointments for its AE Jolliffe and Son branch in Ferndown, in a strategic move aimed at enhancing its service offerings.

Leanne Adimi steps in as senior funeral director and community engagement officer, while Helen Dean joins as office administrator.

Adimi has previously worked with Douch Family Funeral Directors back in the 1990s and now also lends her expertise to the Ives and Shand branch in Parkstone.

After taking time to complete a degree and start a family, Adimi decided to reconnect with the Douch family business.

Dean, on the other hand, brings her expertise from the alarm and access control sectors, with a focus on working with the elderly—a skill set she believes will be “invaluable in her new role”.

Adimi said: “It’s incredible to see the growth of the Douch family business and the impressive facilities in Ferndown and Parkstone. I am committed to ensuring these resources are used optimally for community groups. Being an integral part of the local community is key for our business, and I am eager to drive our branches’ active involvement.”

Dean added: “I’ve always desired a career in the funeral sector, and I am delighted to join a friendly, forward-looking group like Douch Family Funeral Directors.”

Nick Douch, managing director of Douch Family Funeral Directors, concluded: “Leanne and Helen are exceptional additions to our team. They bring a wealth of practical and sector experience, and their local knowledge is a significant advantage. Recruiting the right individuals is crucial in our industry, as first impressions carry immense weight.”
