Independent funeral directors invests in staff

Independent funeral directors, AJ Wakely & Sons, is celebrating. Two of the Dorset-based company’s funeral directors, Christopher Legg and Darren Holt, have achieved the British Institute of Funeral Directors (BIFD) Diploma in Funeral Directing.

The BIFD Diploma in Funeral Directing qualification is benchmarked to Level 3 national standards of learning and assessment. It aligns directly to the level and breadth of responsibilities a funeral director performs.

The course took 18 months to complete. As a result of achieving this qualification, both Christopher and Darren are equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge and competences to confidently carry out a comprehensive funeral arrangement to exceed the expectations of AJ Wakely & Sons’ clients.   

AJ Wakely & Sons directors wanted Christopher and Darren to study, learn and develop the best practice to ensure that it maintained the quality and excellent service that AJ Wakely & Sons has always provided for its clients.
