Wirral-based Woodland Remembrance Park has appointed a new funeral director.

Before joining the team at Mayfields in Eastham, Carl Thompson served as a funeral director at the Co-operative Funeralcare in the Wirral.

A former police officer, Thompson brings seven years’ funeral directing experience to the woodland service centre, which opened two years ago.

Set among 18 acres of natural countryside, Mayfields provides full funeral home facilities to its clients.
