Two members of the team at Melrose Funeral Services Ltd have earned British Institute of Embalmers (BIE) membership status.
Laura Davis and Natalie Johnson received their BIE membership certificates after Melrose Funeral Services principles, Peter and Susan Melrose, decided to invest internally to cope with the growing demand for the company’s embalming services.
As the embalming side of Melrose Funeral Services’ business developed, the company thought it necessary for its embalming staff to possess nationally recognised, industry standard qualifications. Now, with Laura and Natalie’s qualifications, all four members of embalming staff within the company are Institute members.
“It is wonderful when all the hard work and dedication pays off,” remarked Susan Melrose.
“Both of our team members who took the examinations for the qualification were clearly committed and have done a great deal to achieve BIE membership. Professional qualification not only engenders a high degree of client confidence it also provides the individual the necessary skills to work without supervision. As a business owner the framework of training and development has mutual benefits for both the employer and employee alike. Both should be rightly proud of their achievements.”
