Michael Humphrey has achieved a professional qualification in Funeral Services just one year after joining the profession.

Former able seaman Michael gained his BTEC Advanced Certificate in Funeral Services after studying for seven months.

Michael, 33, is a driver/bearer at Chittenden’s Funeral Service in Folkestone and joined the profession after seeing the sense of fulfilment it gave to both his brother and father.

“My brother has worked at Chittenden’s for 19 years and my father also worked here until 2001. Both of them have had nothing but praise for the funeral home and their careers, so it seemed the ideal choice for a change of career,” Michael remarked.

“I’m so pleased that I’m now fully qualified. I get a lot of job satisfaction in the work we do and I really enjoy being part of the team,” he concluded.
