Musical feast goes down a treatThe Co-operative Funeralcare recently supported a musical feast in aid of Nottinghamshire Hospice at Nottingham’s Royal Albert Hall.

Last Sunday, 15 July, Thoresby Colliery Brass Band teamed up with singers from local primary schools to deliver an audience pleasing musical programme – that included songs such as The Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ and the theme from the motion picture Star Wars.

Co-operative Funeralcare has 14 homes in the Nottingham area and supported the cause by meeting the costs of hiring the venue so that more of the generated ticket revenue could go to the charity.

Daryl Westwood of the Co-operative Funeralcare said: “The Co-operative Funeralcare is committed to our local communities and are delighted to be a part of this special occasion. It’s a privilege to be supporting such a special day for these young performers whilst at the same time helping Nottinghamshire Hospice which provides so much comfort and care to local families.”
