Two administrators for Co-operative Funeralcare recently organised a teddy bears’ picnic for schoolchildren.

Julee Byrnes and Louise Stockwell organised the picnic for primary school aged and early years children at Kiltonthorpe School in Brotton.

Julee and Louise asked local businesses to donate raffle prizes for the event – which helped to raise £186.30 for the Kiltonthorpe Summer School.

Music, balloons, a soft play area and a bouncy castle were provided at the event, as well as teddy bear-related activities. Funeralcare provided the food for the picnic.
