Figures from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) show that student suicides have reached their highest level in England and Wales, since records began in 2007.

In 2014, there were 130 suicides in England and Wales among full-time students aged 18 or above. 97 of the deaths were among men.

75 student suicides took place in 2007, when the ONS first recorded student figures. The previous highest figure was 127 in 2010.
