Ballard & Shortall helps spread festive cheer

Funeral directors Ballard & Shortall at Forest Row in Sussex will be supporting local St. Nicholas Celebrations on December 5th.

The company has partnered with the Forest Row Business Forum and will be offering horse drawn carriage rides to the local community. The branch will help to spread festive cheer around the village and raise money for several local charities.

There will be lots of festive activities to enjoy between 2pm and 8pm, including competitions, a village market, a funfair and music from festive choir, the Young Deers.

Colleagues at Ballard & Shortall have organised a Grotto for Santa, held at Chadders in the village, for young visitors to enjoy. Many of the other local businesses in Forest Row will be opening their doors and offering Christmas treats and food and drink tastings too.

Dave Holmden, funeral director at Ballard & Shortall, Forest Row, said: “As members of the Forest Row Business Forum, we are really excited to be involved in the St. Nicholas Celebrations. We found last year that the local community thoroughly enjoyed the horse-drawn carriage rides and we hope this year family and friends alike will again get in the festive spirit while supporting those who are in need in our local community.”
