Cumberland Council has announced that Distington Hall Crematorium will be hosting its annual Christmas memorial services on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 December at 6pm on both days.
The events, which are free to attend, are held each year for the community to remember loved ones.
Visitors will also be able to get in touch with the council to add a loved one’s name to the service’s on-screen tribute list that will run during the memorial.
The deadline for supplying a loved one’s name is Friday 1 December.
In addition, Distington Walled Garden Café will be offering soup and a roll for £5, as well as homemade mince pies and cakes, from 4.30pm on the same dates as the memorial services.
