A Felixstowe funeral director has been shortlisted twice in the regional Suffolk Coastal Business and Community Awards 2018.

The awards celebrate the success of activities in Suffolk Coastal, with winners to be announced at an awards dinner at Milsoms, Kesgrave Hall later this month.

David Button Independent Funeral Directors, based in Felixstowe, has been nominated in two of the 13 categories, the Great Idea Award for its ‘Friendship Circle’ initiative as well as being acknowledged in the Business Growth Award category.

David Button, managing director said: “I am thrilled that our impressive business growth has been recognised. However, I am particularly proud of the monthly Friendship Circle we have formed, introducing ladies in the local community who are sadly in the same situation and ensuring that people do not have to face the pain and grief of losing a loved one alone.”

More than 35 community groups, projects and businesses have been shortlisted for prestigious awards to celebrate the success of activities in Suffolk Coastal. Winners of the Suffolk Coastal Business and Community Awards will be announced at an awards dinner on March 15 at The Hangar, Milsoms, Kesgrave Hall.
