Funeral Partners-backed Goals 4 GOSH has officially hit the £200k fundraising milestone for Great Ormond Street Hospital, following the fifth edition of the charity football match.

The charity, which aims to help make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children, brings together stars from sport, television, music and social media. The latest football match raised exactly £51,203.

Since its inception in 2021, Goals 4 GOSH has raised more than £212k in support of children who are having to spend time at the London hospital.

This year’s match, which took place at AFC Wimbledon’s Cherry Red Records Stadium for the first time, featured a debut appearance by former Chelsea winger and Premier League winner Eden Hazard. He was joined by former professionals including Adrian Mariappa, Wayne Routledge and England Lioness Lianne Sanderson, alongside social media personalities such as Danny Aarons and Jay Porter.

Jamie Groves, regional development director at Funeral Partners, who co-founded the fundraiser with Charlotte Styles, said: “This 2025 edition of Goals 4 GOSH was absolutely incredible. I can’t thank the people who supported us enough. To have raised more than £200k since we started is, quite simply, unbelievable. We never, ever thought it would become anything close to what it is, but I am so proud to be a part of it.”

This year’s match ended in a 2-2 draw, with the Dolphin Dons defeating the Woodpecker Wombles in a penalty shoot-out.

Sarah Bissell, deputy director of public fundraising at GOSH Charity, said: “We are so grateful to Goals 4 GOSH for their continued support, having raised an incredible £200k to date through their dedicated fundraising.

“Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved at their recent match, which raised over £50k, this money will make a huge difference in giving seriously ill children the best chance and the best childhood possible.”

Kelly Hailou, marketing director at Funeral Partners, added: “We are so proud to support Goals 4 GOSH. Jamie and Charlotte’s fundraising efforts have been truly remarkable over the years.”

The next fixture will take place at Bromley Football Club’s Hayes Lane stadium on 20 July, where a team of celebrity players will take on a squad of doctors, nurses and staff from the hospital.
