Legacy Funeral Services’ Leighton Buzzard branch has announced the opening of a teddy donation station in support of children’s charity, Emmett’s Genies.

Emmett’s Genies was founded to help bring some magic into the lives of children with serious or life-limiting conditions by working with wish-granting partners to enhance the experience of these children and their families.

The teddy donation station at the funeral provider will serve as a drop-off point for individuals to donate new and gently used teddy bears, as the branch aims to collect a vast assortment of bears to support the charity’s tombola.

James Burrett, director of Legacy Funerals, said: “We are honoured to be a part of Emmett’s Genies teddy tombola and contribute to their incredible work.”

Leighton Buzzard’s donating station will remain open during regular business hours to make it convenient for individuals to drop off their teddy bear donations.

The funeral home also encourages the community to come forward and contribute, regardless of whether they have used the branch’s end-of-life services or not to “make a positive impact on the lives of young ones”.
