Steven Mears Group invests in new hybrid vehicles

Mears Family Funerals and Mears and Jackson, part of the Steven Mears Group of companies, has acquired a new fleet of hybrid ceremonial vehicles. 

Mears Family Funerals, which serves communities in South-East London and north Kent from its seven branches took delivery of two hearses and two limousines at its Care Centre at London Biggin Hill Airport. 

Group CEO, Steven Mears, was handed the keys by Coleman Milne area sales manager, Stacey Moore, together with Mears Family Funerals managing director, Lisa McDermott.

The Steven Mears Group new fleet of ceremonial vehicles, which comprises three hybrid traditional-style hearses and three hybrid six-seater limousines, “significantly reduces its carbon footprint” through lower emissions when compared to its old diesel powered fleet.

 In addition to the new hybrid ceremonial fleet, Mears Family Funerals and Mears and Jackson are said to be committed to the reduction of plastic components across the range of coffins and English caskets.
