Renowned restaurateur and judge on Great British Menu, Oliver Peyton, has launched a new funeral business – Exit Here.
Peyton has partnered with third generation funeral director, Barry Pritchard, to create a new modern funeral business which aims to deliver “greater choice and restore trust in funeral services”.
At the heart of their offer is the opportunity for clients to take a more personalised approach to celebrating the lives of their loved ones.
Exit Here is opening its first funeral home in Chiswick and will initially cater to the South East region. Designed by Ben Masterton-Smith at Transit Studio, the space offers a modern, calm setting, with an emphasis on light and space that is the antithesis of traditional funeral homes.
Drawing on Peytons’s experience of the hospitality sector, and Pritchard’s experience of the funeral industry, the business will offer a complete service – from orders of service, to bespoke caskets and catering.
Peyton said: “At the heart of our approach is the belief that the death of a loved one should be marked with a celebration, and be unique to the individual. We want to completely transform the way people approach celebrating the end of life.”
Pritchard added: “With my lifetime experience of the funeral sector and Oliver’s hospitality experience, we recognised the need to modernise the industry and restore trust. Together, we believe we can inject new life into the funeral business, offering choice and value and being a trusted partner to our clients.”
