G&M Goold Funeral Directors has been acquired by Funeral Partners, and has been serving the local community in Vicars Cross, Chester for the past decade.

The directors is run by husband and wife Geoff and Mandy Goold, who will continue the day-to-day running of the branch.

The couple have worked to grow the business and its reputation with the support of Mandy’s sons Dan and Mike.

The investment from Funeral Partners will allow the directors to grow the business, with an aim to create my jobs for local people.

Mandy Goold said: “Although Funeral Partners have taken over, we want local families to know our service won’t change. It’s still very much a family business and we’re still going to offer that very personal touch.”

Julian Hodgkinson, regional development director, Funeral Partners, added: “We are delighted that Geoff and Mandy and their sons will be staying to support this highly-respected business to develop further.”
