Golden Leaves appoints Tom Kiedrowski to board

Funeral plan provider, Golden Leaves, has appointed Tom Kiedrowski to its board of trustees.

Kiedrowski, who has more than 21 years of experience in consumer protection, competition policy and regulation, will aim to help maintain the levels of quality and standards enforced by Golden Leaves.

An independent fund, the Golden Leaves Trust is a separate entity which holds all funds received for the company’s funeral plans, ensuring consumers are fully protected against rising funeral costs.

Managed by a board of trustees, Kierdrowski joins the recently appointed Arnold Pindar, president of ANEC, the European Consumer Voice Association, together with vice president of the Trading Standards Institute James K Humble OBE to name a few.

Kiedrowski, said: “I am delighted to be joining the Golden Leaves board of trustees and look forward to contributing my regulatory expertise and knowledge of global financial markets to ensure the sound management of Golden Leaves’ funds.

“Golden Leaves has an eminent reputation within the funeral planning industry, and in working with the other board members we will ensure its high standards are maintained, and the firm is able to move forward within the emerging regulatory landscape.”

Barry Floyd, managing director of the Golden Leaves Group, added: “With the inevitable arrival of increased statutory regulation in the sector and with the CMA investigating the funeral industry as a whole, Tom’s incredible experience and depth of knowledge in the field of consumer protection, Competition Policy and Statutory Regulation will help us navigate any new regulatory framework that arrives in due course. We are extremely proud to have him join the Golden Leaves trustee board.”
