Arthur Cambrey Funeral Directors is marking 76 years of trading in the Llanelli community. The firm was established in 1950 by Arthur Cambrey, who operated the business until his death in 2012.

The company became part of the Funeral Partners network in 2023. The founder’s daughter, funeral director Alison Cambrey, joined the firm in the 1980s and continues to support clients alongside funeral director Karl Jenkins.

Jenkins first joined the business aged 20 and returned to the team in 2018. The firm reached its 75th anniversary in April 2025. Cambrey said joining a larger network has provided the business with administrative support.

Cambrey said: “I’m still here in the business, albeit a little less than before. However, if anyone would like me personally to handle their loved one’s funeral arrangements, I will always do my absolute best to help.

“Karl is also very much still here and doing what he does best – helping families through their difficult moments. I know I can trust him to represent Arthur Cambrey Funeral Directors and the values and traditions we hold so dearly.”

She added: “I want my father’s legacy to be around for many, many years to come and I hope Funeral Partners will ensure that happens. It has helped us massively to be a part of a larger group. We have invaluable behind the scenes support, which allows myself and the team to do what we do best – helping our families in their time of need.”
