A.W. Lymn has revealed it has moved all its administration and transaction processes onto a new software system, replacing a mix of offline and legacy platforms.
The Nottingham-headquartered company, which employs more than 130 people and operates 25 funeral homes, has introduced the Funeral Manager platform across its network. The move is intended to centralise resource planning, manage online donations and give staff access to real-time updates via a single dashboard.
According to managing director Matthew Lymn Rose, the business had “long been on the hunt for a software solution that served our bespoke needs as a large organisation with multiple branches”.
Lymn Rose said: “Small admin tasks eat into [our staff’s] time and we’re pleased to now be at a point where this element of our work can be managed by a bespoke system built to meet our 25 funeral homes’ needs.”
Will Ward, business development director of A.W. Lymn, added: “We’re absolutely delighted to support one of the UK funeral profession’s best-known independent firms with its digital transformation goals. And we’re already seeing results in the form of streamlined workflows and greater efficiencies which, in turn, are enabling A.W. Lymn colleagues to dedicate even more time to providing high-quality, professional care to bereaved families.”
Funeral Manager is used by funeral directors across the UK and Ireland. The company says its software can be customised to different business sizes, with functions covering funeral arrangement, back-office work and mortuary processes.
Founded in 1907, A.W. Lymn is Nottinghamshire’s largest independent funeral director. The business has expanded into Leicestershire following its acquisition of M.A. Mills, and continues to grow its branch network.
