Under-12 football team score new kitAn under-12s football squad from Rushden have received a new kit for the forthcoming season thanks to a local funeral home.

The Northamptonshire Co-operative Funeralcare agreed to sponsor Rushden and Higham United under-12s by purchasing their new kit.

Funeral arranger at the home Jo Freeman said: “We like to help the local community where we can so when we heard that the team needed a new football kit we wanted to help. The boys are thrilled with their new kit and so grateful. It’s been a pleasure to support them, and [with them winning their first game] it has obviously brought them good luck.
