Central Co-op rededicates Kettering funeral home

The rededication of the Kettering funeral home follows the group’s recent refurbishment of the crematorium in Bretby

The Central Co-operative’s funeral home in Kettering was recently rededicated in a ceremony attended by Mayor Cllr Keli Watts, who officially unveiled a brand new plaque on the wall and cut the ribbon.

According to the funeral care provider, the home was refurbished to “align with its funeral transformation purpose”.

The rededication of the Kettering funeral home follows the group’s recent refurbishment of the crematorium at Bretby, which now features a garden dedicated to children lost, as well as a rainbow bridge from which to scatter ashes.

A spokesperson for Central Co-op said: “We guide people planning funerals in a way which centres and celebrates a whole-life, in all its wonderful individuality. We put the person who has died, and the people who loved them, at the heart of what we do, with truly personal care and respect for our communities and planet.

“We guide and educate people planning funerals on their options; whether that’s cremation, natural burial, or the newest technologies. We lead the way in progressive, sustainable technologies and practices, with the person who’s died, and the people who loved them at the heart of what we do.”
