Wessex Vale Crematorium in Hampshire has been named Crematorium of the Year by the Association of Green Funeral Directors (AGFD).

It revealed Wessex Vale Crematorium was nominated by a civil funeral celebrant who has officiated many services at the crematorium for the past six years.

Lisa Johnson, Wessex Vale Crematorium site manager, said: “We always strive to achieve Westerleigh Group’s values and behaviours in all that we do.

“The award is a testament to the professionalism, dedication and commitment to my team here at Wessex Vale and I would like to congratulate and thank them for their amazing work and levels of exceptional care they provide.”

Roger Mclaughlan, CEO of Westerleigh Group, added: “We are all immensely proud of Lisa and her team for earning this prestigious national award and I would like to extend my own congratulations to them.”
