Village funeral directors, D.W. Johns and Sons have reopened its doors after refurbishments with a new name, Dignity with Distinction

After David Johns passed the business on to House of Fraser, the parlour which to “keep at the forefront of funerals locally” is now part of Dignity Funerals

The company was one of the first local funeral directors since 1920, where trading still continues today, the parlour also had a branch in Wanstead where about 200 funerals took place each year.

Having passed through two or three generations of the Johns family, the refurbished business opened in August, earlier this year.
