Laurel appoints new CFO

Laurel Funerals has announced the appointment of Paul Coxon as chief financial officer.

With a wealth of experience, it is hoped that Paul will help to drive and support the growth of the collective and play a key role in its acquisition programme.

CEO at Laurel Funerals Deborah Kemp said: “We are delighted to be able to add someone of Paul’s calibre to our management team. He brings over 25 years’ experience overseeing fast growing businesses and I know both the senior management team, as well as the funeral directors in our collective, will benefit greatly from his knowledge.”

Speaking about his new position, Coxon remarked: “I am thrilled to be joining Laurel at such a pivotal time in the company’s development. With a strong foundation already in place, a sound industry reputation and ambitious plans for the future, I am looking forward to playing my part in the growth of the collective.”

Laurel Funerals currently operates 68 branches in locations across the West Midlands, south west and south east England. The company aims to retain the name, heritage, values and service of each branch, while supporting the funeral directors within the collective with investment and the expertise of its management team.

“Over the last few years, we have placed great importance on investment in our team and we are sure that Paul will play a key part in the many positive changes we have planned in the future,” concluded Deborah Kemp.
