R & P Everson wins ‘Funeral Planner of the Year Award’

Funeral directors from Totland Bay, R and P Everson have been named the top funeral planner for South West London and Southern England region at this year’s Funeral Planner of the Year Awards, announced by funeral plan provider Golden Charter.

The Funeral Planner of the Year Awards took place on Saturday, 21 September, hosted by broadcaster and former MP Gyles Brandreth, the night highlighted the achievements of independent funeral directors throughout the UK and Ireland.

Speaking to the Isle of White Observer, Bob and Pam Everson, said: “This was an enjoyable evening made extra special our brilliant host, Gyles Brandreth, and it was a complete surprise to receive this award.

Suzanne Grahame, chief executive of Golden Charter, added: “We’re delighted to recognise the invaluable service the team from R and P Everson delivers for the community of the Isle of Wight.

In addition to the Funeral Planner of the Year recognition, the Woodland Trust has dedicated trees on behalf of R and P Everson at Home Farm in Hampshire and locally in Headon Lea Natural Burial Ground, at Alum Bay in recognition of the company’s achievement
