Mayor congratulates Adair and Neely on 25 years of service to the local community

Adair & Neely have celebrated their 25th anniversary. Alderman Hilary McClintock, Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council welcomed the company’s staff and friends to the Guild Hall to offer congratulations.

Alderman McClintock presented Wayne and Jack Glenn with a momento of their visit to the Guild Hall. The Mayor personally thanked those attending the reception for the personal service and comfort that they provide to loved ones in the midst of loss.

The funeral directors on Duke Street has been serving the local community for 25 years and Wayne Glenn, manager at Adair & Neely, said: “I’ve worked at Adair & Neely for 19 years alongside my dad Jack, who retired recently, and it was an honour for us to be invited to the Guild Hall to be recognised by the Mayor.

“It was a wonderful opportunity for our staff and representatives from the clergy to share in the celebration of our 25th anniversary as we received such a warm welcome.

“Adair & Neely has undergone great change over the years, evolving to offer a more professional but still very personal service. We now have much better premises than we did originally and as we are in the business of creating and preserving memories, it’s a privilege for us to be entrusted with taking care of generations of families in the city who continue to use our business after 25 years.”
