Long serving FD retires at 62

A Bradford-based Co-operative Funeralcare funeral director has retired after spending almost half a century working in the industry.

John Davison, 62, joined the former West Yorkshire Co-operative Society at Longfield House funeral home as a driver/bearer in 1976 following 10 years working at an independent funeral director.

Upon progressing to the position of funeral director, Davison spent a few years moving between funeral homes before returning to Longfield House in 1998. In 2006, he was promoted to funeral home manager and transferred to the Frank Cooper Funeral Directors in Barkerend Road in Bradford.
