Avalon to launch new funeral director plan

Funeral plan provider, Avalon is set to unveil its new funeral director plan at the National Funeral Exhibition, on the weekend of 7 June.

Avalon will be welcoming new independent funeral directors to join its network, with thousands of plans allocated to those supporting families in their local communities each month. Funeral directors will receive a commercial fee for every plan allocated. The firm manages all administration and invests the full cost of the plan into an independent trust.

The company works with a network of 1,600 local, independent funeral directors across the UK.

The latest news comes following the launch of its Avalon Promise in January this year, an initiative that proposes if customers pass away before their plan is fully paid, Avalon will cover the cost of the services included in their funeral plan.

The Promise aims to offer an increased peace of mind and the company is the only plan provider that works with local, independent funeral directors to offer this.

Newly appointed CEO, Susan Stevenson, said: “We are incredibly excited to attend the National Funeral Exhibition this year, as we will be unveiling details of our Funeral Director Plan. We understand that planning for a funeral is a considered decision, and that’s why it is important for us to provide plans that are trusted and give families total peace of mind when they need it most.

“Customer needs are changing and many are looking for funeral plans that reflect their personal preferences and choices. With our new plan, funeral directors can create a totally bespoke plan that is tailored to their customers.”

She added: “It is our mission to offer plans that allow funeral directors flexibility and ease. The new plan, set to be launched at the exhibition aims to make life simpler for funeral directors. It’s risk-free and simple for them, as we manage all of the admin and invest the full cost of the plan into an independently managed Trust.”
