Business leader demands ‘Brexit Taskforce’

Business has the ‘ideas and the solutions’ to help Britain through the Brexit labyrinth, claims a leading businessman. Paul Drechsler, president of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), will tackle the topic of the UK’s exit from the EU on the evening of 17 May.

His speech will take place at The CBI Annual Dinner, sponsored by IBM. A thousand senior business leaders are expected to attend the event at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.

Paul will call on the next government to set up a Business Brexit Taskforce in their first 50 days to crack the most complex issues, saying: “In just over 500 hours Britain will be electing the next government. They will make decisions affecting not just us, but the next generation. The scale of the challenges they will face is staggering.
