Sunderland-based John G Hogg Funeral Directors has praised the support it has received from Funeral Partners as it responds to the challenges of coronavirus.

The funeral directors, who merged with Funeral Partners 20 months ago praised the company for its “very active” measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Business principal John Hogg said Funeral Partners’ support is felt more than ever: “I cannot fault Funeral Partners, they have been very active in providing daily updates, arranging conference calls and more importantly, promoting working from home where possible and providing personal protective equipment for all my colleagues.”

The funeral directors said it grew a loyal customer base and strong reputation after its foundation in 1992, going on to open three branches across Sunderland, with Hogg saying he was “determined” to preserve its good name when he took the decision to join Funeral Partners 26 years later.
