Two Westerleigh crematoria praised for ‘excellent level of service’

Two Westerleigh Group crematoria have been recently praised by industry inspectors for providing an “excellent level of service provision”. Parndon Wood Cemetery and Crematorium and Barham Crematorium were both recently visited by inspectors from the Federation of Burial & Cremation Authorities (FBCA), who both concluded that they did not feel the need to make any recommendations. Westerleigh Group is one of the UK’s largest independent owners and operators of crematoria and cemeteries, with 41 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance, which provide peaceful places for people to visit and reflect. The Crematorium Compliance Scheme involved scrutinising six separate key areas of service delivery, through discussion and viewing of more than 80 points of interest, Parndon Wood Cemetery & Crematorium scored 100% in five of those areas. Parndon Wood Cemetery and Crematorium Manager Joe Jaggers said: “To get an overall mark of 97.9%, with 100% in five of the six areas, demonstrates the consistently high standards we apply to every aspect of what we do, our facilities and the exceptional care and support we provide. “The report confirms that the communities we serve can be assured that by choosing Westerleigh Group, they will receive the very best care and support available.” Barham Crematorium scored 100% in four of the key areas; Manager Remy David said: “I was especially pleased that we were awarded full marks for Service and Staff by the inspector, which is a valuable, and welcome, endorsement of the outstanding care provided by my team here. “People are at the heart of everything we do.
