The AA confirms Association of Green Funeral Directors collab
As a partner of the AGFD, members will have access to a range of AA specialist services including roadside assistance, vehicle recovery and repair solutions

The AA has announced a new collaboration with the Association of Green Funeral Directors, which will see the insurer support AGFD members with “exclusive” resources to further their efforts in promoting sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
As an expert partner of the AGFD, members will have access to a range of discounted AA specialist services including roadside assistance, vehicle recovery and repair solutions for their fleets of frequently bespoke, high-end vehicles.
According to the AA, its services for AGFD members have been designed to minimise downtown to “ensure they can continue their operations with minimal disruption”.
The association, which was established in 2009, helps the public find funeral homes that offer eco-friendly options and encourages funeral directors to adopt greener practices – all to help bring natural funerals into the mainstream.
By prioritising sustainable solutions, such as biodegradable coffins and natural burials, the AGFD aligns with growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible end-of-life services.
Julian Ferguson, relationship manager at the AGFD, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with The AA. Funeral directors manage extensive fleets of premium, custom-built vehicles, including hearses and private ambulances, all of which can benefit from The AA’s high customer service levels and extensive suite of fleet management options.
“This collaboration will provide our members with opportunities to enhance their services while staying true to our core values of sustainability and responsible funeral care.”
James Starling, director at AA Business Services, added: “Always ahead, The AA has long been a trusted provider of roadside assistance and fleet solutions. Partnering with AGFD allows us to extend our expertise to funeral professionals who depend on reliable vehicle support to maintain the highest standards of service.”
