Co-Op Funeralcare closes Brampton branch

Co-Op Funeralcare’s branch in Brampton is set to close in December.

The news comes as England begins its second nationwide lockdown after a surge in Covid-19 cases over the past few months.

While the Carlisle funeral home will shut next month, the owners of the business have confirmed its memorial garden will not be impacted by the closure.

Furthermore, any individual who has currently arranged a funeral via the home will also not be affected by the closure.

A spokesperson for Co-Op Funeralcare said: “We continually explore opportunities to open new funeral homes, while also regularly reviewing our existing homes. As part of this, the decision has been made to close our funeral home in Brampton on 18 December.

“We would like to reassure families that the memorial garden based at Brampton will not be impacted in any way by this closure and will remain accessible.”

They added: “Likewise, families arranging funerals at present will continue to receive the same high standards of service, and all existing customers who have pre-paid funeral plans will see no change to their existing terms and conditions.

“Once the funeral home has closed, any residents of Brampton who require our support can contact us at Co-op Funeralcare on Etterby Street in Carlisle.”
