The Right Reverend Mike Hill, Bishop of Bristol, has led a Service of Dedication at R Davies & Son in Bedminster as one of his last duties as Bishop .

The Dignity premises opened its doors to the public on 11 May 2017 and invited the local community to its first open day. A dedication and blessing of the Chapel of Rest was led by Right Reverend Mike Hill, Bishop of Bristol and Reverend Andrew Doarks.

Candles were lit by Lisa Patch, funeral service arranger, Chris Allen, funeral service operative and Mhairi Spring, trainee embalmer as an act of remembrance in the funeral arranging room, chapel of rest and mortuary.

Regional manager, Andrew Judd performed a blessing to all those who work at the funeral home. Ashley McDonald, funeral manager thanked everyone who attended the service.  

A buffet was served after the service and visitors were invited to attend the branch’s first Pre-Paid Funeral Plan event in the afternoon.
