Funeral Partners has reopened applications for its community funding schemes, with nine branches set to support local charities and organisations through the latest round of grants.
It comes after thousands of pounds have already been raised for causes across the UK through its Community Funds and Community Assistance Programmes.
The new phase will again invite applications from groups working to improve local life in areas such as health, education, employment and social inclusion.
Branches taking part in the next wave of funding include A N Abraham Funeral Directors in Hemsworth and South Elmsall; Eaves Funeral Service in Whitehaven; Elizabeth Way and Company Funeral Directors in Mossley; Howard’s Funeral Directors in Southport and Ainsdale; and John Blenkiron and Sons Funeral Directors, which covers Richmond, Barnard Castle, Catterick and Reeth.
Also taking part are John G Hogg Funeral Directors in Sunderland; Kavanagh and Coates Funeral Services in Heywood; Melia Powell Funeral Services in Keighley; and ML Williams Funeral Directors in Ayr.
Claire Ward, funeral director at John G Hogg, said: “It’s brilliant to be able to support the work of dedicated groups doing amazing things to help residents and the wider community each and every day.
“These grants highlight the wonderful variety of projects happening on our doorstep – from children’s groups and disability support to local sports and environmental initiatives.”
Applications for the next round of grants close at 12 noon on 27 October.
