Funeral Partners has joined digital funeral comparison service the Farewell Guide in a move aimed at expanding choice and transparency for people arranging funerals.

The partnership adds the national provider’s network of more than 290 branches to the online platform, allowing users to compare a wider range of funeral directors and services in one place.

According to the Farewell Guide, this agreement would help the company serve more people across the country and improve coverage and response times.

The Farewell Guide offers a digital directory of funeral providers, allowing people to browse and compare services remotely without pressure from sales environments. The company describes its mission as helping people make informed decisions during emotionally difficult times.

The platform’s expansion comes amid growing demand for digital-first options in the funeral sector, particularly for users seeking support with pre-planning or making arrangements quickly after a death.

Rebecca Peach, founder and chief executive of the Farewell Guide, said: “Funeral Partners has a strong commitment to care, and, with its established, high-standard funeral directors, we know those who use our platform will be in safe hands.

“As we support more people across the UK, having a national group onboard as a member improves our Funeral Director coverage and response time even further.”

Sam Kershaw, chief executive of Funeral Partners, added: “Becoming a member of the Farewell Guide enables us to reach more individuals seeking guidance and information online, helping them compare funeral directors’ services in a transparent and informed way.”

Both companies said the partnership was underpinned by shared values around transparency, choice and compassionate support.
