Husband and wife team Aubrey (Vice President of the Shrewsbury Flower Show and owner of Aubrey Kirkham Funeral Directors) and Ann Kirkham, daughters Selina and Leanne, as well as grandchildren Joshua and Connie, will each be taking on important roles in preparation for the highly-anticipated Shrewsbury Flower Show this weekend, which attracts thousands of people to the town from across the UK and beyond every August.
Aubrey says: ‘As a family, we’re proud to have been involved in the organisation of what is such a wonderful event for all, and as we mark our 62nd one this year we’re looking forward to a show that is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
‘We wanted to commemorate the centenary of WWI and my wife and daughters will be dressing up in period costume, while I will be dressing up as a 1914 Police Officer – as a former ‘copper’, I felt it was obligatory’, he said.
