June Brown, otherwise known as EastEnders’ Dot Cotton, attended the first concert of funeral director Chris Sarson, with Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus at Brighton Dome, and even joined him on stage.Soap star appears at funeral director’s first concertSoap star appears at funeral director’s first concert

Singing to a sell-out crowd of over 1,600 people, the Pull a Cracker Concert featured festive hits and a range of hits from the Chorus.

Chris (pictured back row, far right) joined the Co-operative Funeralcare in London Road, Brighton, after attending Brighton Pride in 2009, where he noticed the support that Funeralcare had given to the event.

“After the last Pride event I was invited to attend a meet and greet with the Chorus, and since then it’s been onwards and upwards, learning many songs and trying to read music. The concert was just fantastic and I can’t wait to do it again,” he said.

The Chorus is a registered charity raising funds for the Sussex Beacon, which provides care for people affected by HIV.
