Coles Funeral Directors has relocated its Wales branch in Rumney to Newport Road, which was previously home to HSBC Bank.

The Rumney branch has experienced an increase in customer demand, and as a result, the company made a significant investment to double the size of the branch.

The Rumney branch has already recruited four new members of staff across its family support and funeral operative teams, as well as purchased a brand-new Mercedes vehicle fleet to enhance its service. .

Established nearly two decades ago, Rumney was Coles Funeral Directors’ first funeral home in the city.

In the last 20 years, the business has expanded its reach across Birchgrove and Llandaff.

The expansion allowed the company to offer quiet resting suites with seating areas where families can take time to privately grieve together, as well as make room for a dedicated arrangement office in Rumney.

Gareth Coles, managing director of Coles Funeral Directors, said: “We’ve continued to grow our presence in the East Cardiff area and as we do so, it’s essential that we continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences that we have become known for.

“With this expansion, we wanted to create a space that would ensure that all of our families feel like they have a personal experience with us, and that they’re supported throughout the whole grief and bereavement process as seamlessly as possible.”

He added: “We’re proud to support and continue to invest in the Rumney community – this location will always be special to us.”
