Fosters Family Funeral Home has announced the appointment of Fiona Shaw as a funeral arranger in the group’s Bellshill branch.

Shaw, who first joined as a mobile funeral director, will now work alongside funeral director Claire Ferguson.

Ferguson, who will also be overseeing the operations at the group’s new Livingston site, said that Shaw will be a “real asset” to its team.

She said: “She is so compassionate, professional and approachable, and I know she will make a difficult time that little bit easier for the families who entrust us to arrange a funeral for their loved one.”

Shaw added: “I feel privileged to be joining Claire in a permanent role, supporting the families of Bellshill when they need us most.”

Operating since 2005, Fosters now has 20 funeral homes across Scotland
