Fosters Family Funeral Directors has opened a new funeral parlour in East Kilbride, Scotland

According to the company, the opening of the site will allow customers in the area access to a local funeral parlour, having previously used the services of nearby venues in Rutherglen, Burnside, and Newton Mearns.

John Brown, operation manager for Fosters Family Funeral Directors, said the company has adapted its services to adhere to government guidelines- making it one of the few funeral directors in Scotland “still able to provide families with the opportunity to view loved ones within a safe environment”.

Brown said: “Fosters has always been proud of the services and support we provide to bereaved families. We believe that everyone has the right to a dignified and meaningful farewell, and we’re committed to supporting local families for many years to come by providing high quality and compassionate services at an affordable cost.”

Foster Family Funeral Directors currently operates 17 parlours across Scotland, including Glasgow and Edinburgh
