Seker has launched the #EveryDayHeroes campaign to celebrate the “unsung heroes of the pandemic” – funeral directors.

The software platform is inviting funeral companies to nominate a colleague from their funeral home to be in the running to win Seker’s weekly #EveryDayHero accolade.

The lucky winner will be gifted a £50 John Lewis voucher for their “dedication and commitment” to their profession.

Charlie Field, CEO of SekerTech, said: “Funeral directors have witnessed the raw reality of the pandemic, confronted with those that have been taken too soon; those for whom lockdown was an unlivable challenge and the many others aside.

“As a key business partner for Funeral Directors, Seker is uniquely placed to value and champion the role of the funeral sector, and funeral directors in particular.”

He added: “The #EveryDayHeroes campaign aims to shine a spotlight on a forgotten cohort of society’s unsung heroes, as an independent witness to the work they are doing.”
